2055 Central Indiana Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP)
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Planning Organization (IMPO) will soon issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for consultant support to develop the 2055 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP). The MTP is the region’s long-range transportation plan and will guide transportation investments, priorities, and policy direction across Central Indiana over the coming decades. The selected consultant will support plan development through technical analysis, public and stakeholder engagement, project evaluation, and preparation of a final plan that meets federal requirements.

Timeline
Questions can be submitted to procurement@indympo.gov by September 16 all questions and answers will be posted in the Questions Addendum by September 23.
An optional pre-bid meeting will be held on September 23, 2026 (Registration is required to attend), from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Interviews, if needed, are expected to occur November 4–5, 2026.
Proposals are due October 6, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

Government Relations at the Statehouse
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Planning Organization (IMPO) will soon issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Metropolitan Planning Organization for Government Relations at the Indiana State House .
Anticipated Timeline
The IMPO anticipates issuing this RFP on September 16, 2026, with proposals due October 7, 2026, at noon. Interviews are anticipated for October 23, 2026.
Preliminary Questions and Meetings
Per IMPO procurement policy, IMPO staff may meet with interested firms before the RFP is released. However, once the RFP is open, staff cannot meet outside of the official written Q&A process and any pre-bid meetings (if applicable).

• Any interested vendor is welcome to contact the project manager for informal discussions if a project has not yet released the RFP. Click the large blue button below to add yourself to a notification list for future procurement opportunities.
• Once an RFP is issued, the IMPO will compile questions submitted through the questions deadline, and post the question responses in an addendum shortly thereafter.
• After the questions deadline, communication is limited to scheduling interviews for shortlisted vendors and post-interview follow-up.
